A visual look at immigrants entering America

Who is coming to America

Integrated media platform “GOOD” together with Timko & Klick have come up with this very interesting visualization: “Who is coming to America” . This represents the amount of immigrants America are facing each day, as you can see – and unsurprising – Mexico are coming in by the thousands with a total of 188,015 in the year of 2008.

Immigration may have taken a back seat during the financial crisis, but the issue still needs resolving. While illegal immigrants sneaking over the border is still a primary concern, it’s good to know who came to our country legally, and from where. Our latest Transparency is a look at the 20 countries from which the most people came to America in 2008, how many immigrants already had family here, and how many received asylum when they arrived on our shores.

Nice but could be better. This is an attractive image and it's interesting information, but this isn't the best representation. I can't see how many came from Asia, Europe or Africa, or how wealthy the immigrant countries are.
